During week six of the Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales Summer Program, the preschool-aged children saw the library's new mice Betsy and Ross, listened to stories about various rodents, like squirrels, chipmunks and mice, and took part in a treasure hunt through the library a la "Over the Hedge"; and during the elementary hour, the children learned about rodents and their skeletal structure, as well as created and decorated their own wooden rodent.
